Reaks began with a small, slightly grumpy idea: nobody should have to spend a whole evening drowning in browser tabs just to work out which blanket will actually keep them warm. We did that legwork once, hated every minute of it, and decided to do it properly so you never have to.
We are an independent guide to sleeping warm and comfortable — not a factory, not a store, and certainly not a call centre. There is no stock room here, no checkout and no sales target hanging over anyone. What there is instead is time, patience and a genuine soft spot for the unglamorous gear that quietly makes winter bearable.
What lives on this site
We deliberately stay in our lane and cover four things: Electric Blankets, Heated Mattress Pads, Mattress Protectors, Space Heaters. Each one gets the same treatment — we read the spec sheet end to end, dig through what real owners say after a few months of use, flag the catch that never makes the headline, and write it all down in language a tired human can follow at 11pm.
How something earns a spot
We are fussy on purpose. Before a product turns up on these pages it has to survive real laundry and real winters, stay simple enough that you are not wrestling a controller in the dark, and carry the safety basics that matter — proper certification, auto-off, and tip-over or overheat protection where it counts. Only then do we check that hundreds of actual buyers agree, rather than a tidy handful of quotes.
